Jumbo Chocolate Apple Scones

I’m back with a new recipe and I’m so excited to share it with you! It’s one of my all time favourite baked goods recipe. It’s so simple, yet so amazing. Chocolate apple scones! They are best served straight out of the oven with a dollop or two of jam. They freeze well too! So if you are like me, double up the recipe, put them in the freezer and take them out anytime you fancy one (which for me, is often) Take them out the night before or bake them 10-15 minutes in the oven. INGREDIENTS: English

  • 130g white flour
  • 130g whole wheat flour
  • 110g vegan greek yoghurt ( I use Alpro go on)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 50g sugar
  • 70g plantbased milk
  • 50g applesauce
  • 80g chopped dark chocolate
  • 1 tbs baking powder
  • 1 shredded apple
  • 50g chopped almonds (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • Pinch of salt

DIRETIONS:

  • Mix vegan greek yoghurt in a bowl with bakingsoda.
  • Set aside and mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger and salt in a bowl.
  • Add the greek yoghurt mix, with the remaining ingredients to the bowl with the dry ingredients.
  • Mix well.
  • Flour a surface and roll the dough out into a circle about 15 cm in diameter and 2-3 cm thick.
  • Cut into 6 triangles and bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 200c

INGREDIENSER: Danish

  • 130g hvedemel
  • 130g fuldkornsmel
  • 110g vegansk græsk yoghurt evt. Alpro go on
  • 1 tsp natron
  • 50g sukker
  • 70g plantemælk
  • 50g æblemos
  • 80g hakket mørk chokolade
  • 1 tbs bagepulver
  • 1 revet æble
  • 50g hakkede mandler (valgfrit)
  • 1/4 tsp kanel
  • 1/4 tsp ingefær
  • Knivspids salt

FREMGANGSMÅDE: 

  • Kom yoghurt og natron i en skål og rør godt rundt
  • I en anden skål tilføjes mel, sukker, bagepulver, kanel, ingefær og salt
  • Tilføj de resterende ingredienser sammen med yoghurt mikset i skålen
  • Rør godt sammen.
  • Kom dejen ud på en bordplade, der er drysset med mel
  • Rul dejen ud til en cirkel ca 15 cm i diameter og 2-3 cm tyk.
  • Skær i seks trekantede stykker og bag i ovnen i 15 minutter på 200c
